Reviews for course code CHEM (Chemistry)
CHEM 102: Introductory University Chemistry II (2015)
During first year, this course can easily run away from the student who is not constantly on top of it. However, do not let the difficulty rating scare you. This course provides invaluable information as well as address information that is tested by the MCAT, both of which make it invaluable. The course earns its difficulty simply in its ability to become too much to handle should you not stay on top of your workload. However, stay on top of your work and this course will be a breeze.
CHEM 299: Research Opportunity in Chemistry (2015)
This course is a credit/no-credit course in which you will complete a research project under the supervision of a professor in the Department of Chemistry. Although taken as a 1.5 credit course per semester, students can enroll in CHEM 299 for both semesters making it can excellent course that does not have any exams nor count towards a GPA. Students in CHEM 299 meet approximately 5 to 6 times a semester, but most of the time, they will be working in a research lab for 3-5 hours a week. Overall, it is an excellent opportunity for students to get involved in research and even perhaps find a faculty member who are will to supervise students for summer research or the honours thesis project.
